Foxx/Tale Productions & Gdavis Plays Marry Up to Benefit Friendship Haven Nursing Home

Chattanooga, TN June 2, 2006 -- In unique agreement, Nina Foxx and Garrett Davis, of Foxx/Tale Productions & Gdavis Plays respectively, will donate a portion of the proceeds from the June 2, 2006, Chattanooga performance of their collaborative hit play, Marrying Up to the city's oldest nonprofit senior living facility, Friendship Haven Nursing Home.
Proceeds will directly benefit the effort to upgrade the facility's currently outdated system toward the purchase of a state mandated fire sprinkler system.
Foxx, author of the novel from which the play is derived, states, "It seems incomprehensible that this facility, known for caring for elderly people who don't have enough family or insurance to care for them, is in such need. Our hope is that our efforts not only fill a substantial hole in the center's need, but also that it drives the community to the aid of this more than worthy cause as well."
Davis assembles an award-winning cast for Marrying Up, including Peoples’ Choice Award nominee, Thea Vidale, Li’L G, Kevin Roberston “K-Rob”, The next generation of Isley and seasoned singer Kim Fleming. Joining the cast for the Chattanooga show is Lil”G, from the legendary group SILK.
According to Davis, “It is an absolute blessing when entertainment moves beyond entertainment. It makes the entire effort so much more worthwhile.”
Individual tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show. The group rate is $18 per ticket, with a ten ticket minimum.
Tickets are available at Scenic City Music, Cats Music and WNOO Radio & the Memorial Auditorium Box Office and on-line.
Doors open at 7:00PM.

Good luck with your stage play. I am a writer not yet published, but soon to be. Feel free to check out my blog when you get a chance.
